BARRIE WINGZ- Chapter Z - GWTA

We are the Barrie Wingz.
We are a group of people from many walks of life with a common interest, motorcycling. Ours is Chapter Z of the
Gold Wing Touring Association. We belong to Region J of the GWTA one of several regions in Canada and the USA.

Contrary to the Name there is no requirement to ride a Gold Wing to belong to the club. All makes are most welcome.

In February of 1996 a group of people gathered at Jimmy’s Restaurant in Angus with a single purpose in mind….
The formation of a new motorcycle club.

Roy Gosse, then Provincial Director for our area, initially contacted Sam Galea the Regional Director at the time, and after some discussion, decided there was interest enough to organize a meeting. From that beginning
the club rose and has been a success story .

Everybody is welcome to our breakfasts, coffee nights, meetings and rides. All bikes and people are welcome.

(It is rumoured however you may need a motorcycle
to join the rides!) But some 4 wheel vehicles
have been known to tag along!

Friendship and fun is the destination.
